...and the LORD added to the church daily such as should be saved.

I was reminded again this week of the mercy and compassion of our Saviour.  He is still calling sinners to Himself and will save to the uttermost all of them who heed the "Call" of God.  This seems to be a forgotten element in our evangelism.  We can carry the bread to every creature but only God the Spirit can give that individual a desire to be a partaker of that bread.  We can preach Jesus until we are blue in the face but if the wind of God is not blowing on the heart of the hearer, then they will NOT get in.  May we never forget that salvation is of the LORD and we come God's way or we go to hell.
